Imperfections are based on a volume of 36 cubic inches (the contents of a cylinder 4" in diameter and 2 7/8" high or rectangular container of approximately 7 1/2" length X 4 1/2" width X 1 1/8" height).

U.G.Q. Colombian Excelso Coffee shall be understood to be of the crop which is current at the time of shipment.

1 Full Black equals 1 imperfection
1 Full Sour equals 1 imperfections
1 or Cherry equals 1 imperfection
5 Shells equal 1 imperfection
5 Broken or Cut beans equal 1 imperfection: from 2 to 5 Partly Black or Partly Sour beans equal 1 imperfection depending upon the extent to which each bean is discolored or spoiled
5 Floaters equal 1 imperfection
3 Small Sticks equal 1 imperfection
1 Medium Stick equals 1 imperfection
1 Large Stick equals 2 to 3 imperfections depending upon the size of the stick; Stones are also in the same category as sticks
2-3 Hulls or Husks equal 1 imperfection depending upon size
2-3 Parchments equal 1 imperfection depending on size
